This is the second update in a series of many. We will try and post one every other week in the upcoming period.
As of today, January 2nd, there are 40+ players registered from 3 countries for the megagame “Het Rampjaar 1672” on the 13th of February 2016 in Nijmegen. Of course we are still looking for 15+ players more, so spread the word of this megagame. Since we already have reached the minimum number of players for this game, we have confirmed our reservation of the venue: the game is on.
At the moment we have enough players who registered as umpire. There is a chance that we will recast some of the participants currently registered as an umpire in a player role.
If you are interested in the geographic spread of the participants, take a look at this link.
We will do the game casting in January. When the casting is made, we will send the next status update with the provisional casting.
We will send the game material as pdf files by email. On request we will also send printed copies by snail mail, but this will cost you an additional €5,- to cover the printing and postage costs.
The reason to do this is that it saves a lot of work for the organisation.
As this is also a lot cheaper so we decided to lower the game fee to €20,- (€10,- for umpires). Those who already paid the fee of €25,-, will get their €5,- returned.
We will send invoices in January when the casting is done. Every invoice will contain an invoice number. Please add this number as remark to the payment. This will help us to correctly administer the payments.
There are some restaurants in the neigborhood of the game location. The organisation will enjoy their after game dinner in Baan Isaan (Thai cuisine). Please mail us if you want to join the dinner. In that case we will try to make a reservation for you in the restaurant. As we need to book in advance, please do so at least 2 weeks before the game.
